About Kids Mail Clubs
We are Glen and Chelsea. We started this directory for a slightly awkward reason: we run a kids' mail club ourselves, went looking for the other ones, and found that the existing directories could not be trusted on something as basic as price.
The disclosure, first
We run Mailbox Melodies, a monthly music club for young children. It is listed on this site, and it is marked as ours on its listing and anywhere we recommend it in a guide.
That is a real conflict of interest and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can promise is specific:
- No club can pay to be listed, and no club can pay for position. Not other clubs, and not us. There is no advertising on this site.
- Our club is described the same way as every other club — same fields, same length, same plain language, and no adjectives we would not apply to a competitor.
- Where we recommend our own club in a guide, we say so in that paragraph, not in a footnote you have to go looking for.
- We name the competition. Where another club does something better than ours — cheaper, younger, two-way — the guides say so.
If you ever find a place on this site where our club gets an advantage we have not disclosed, write to us and we will fix it.
Why the prices here are different
When we compiled the first version of this directory in August 2026, we checked every price on the club's own website rather than copying it from another directory. The results were worse than we expected. One club appears at four different prices across four directories, none of which matches its actual pricing. Several clubs listed elsewhere have closed. One popular club is quoted everywhere at its premium tier, when the basic tier costs 30% less.
So: every listing on this site carries the date we last checked it and where we checked. When a club does not publish a price, we say "not published" rather than repeating a number we cannot stand behind.
How a club gets listed
We list clubs we can verify are real and operating, that mail something to children on a recurring schedule. We found the first batch by working through the existing directories, marketplace listings and blog roundups, then visiting each club's own site.
We wrote every description ourselves from what the club publishes. If you run a club here, you can claim your listing free and correct anything we got wrong. If you run a club that is not here, add it.
Every submission is read by a person — one of us — before it appears. At this size that is a feature, not a bottleneck.
How we pay for it
We do not, really. This site costs a domain and a slice of hosting we already had. Our own club pays for our time. If that ever changes — if we add affiliate links or a paid enhanced listing — this page will say so before it happens, and paid placement in rankings will still be off the table.
